About the customer

Revery is one of Russia's largest manufacturers of sleep products:

• pillows and blankets,
• decorative textiles (sets of pillows and bedspreads-sachets),
• functional textiles (mattress covers and protective covers for mattresses and pillows).

Revery is part of the vertically integrated group of companies "Advanced furniture technologies". The group's enterprises provide a full production cycle-from raw materials to finished products and packaging.

Revery also has direct contacts with the world's leading manufacturers of materials and fillers.

They produce products both under their own brand and to order.

Initially, the request was to develop a website that would include both an online store and a personal account of partners (distributors and customers of products).

In the process of work, the scope of work for the first iteration was adjusted: we decided to launch an online showcase without e-Commerce.

Inputs:

• About 70 items in the catalog, including SKU (same model, but different size). It will be filled in via the admin panel.
• The site must perform an image function and support offline sales. Store map, information about promotions, news.
• They plan to promote their brand through content marketing: they need a "Blog" section with convenient tools for managing publications.

Planing and designing

The customer came to us with a thick and quite detailed TOR. We took some of it as input, but added a lot and recommended our own, and it was very positively received.

We started, as usual, with prototypes.

Basic thesis

• It is important to convey a sense of comfort and calm. Place the visitor, immerse them in a light and airy atmosphere, and don't immediately start flooding them with promotional banners and discounts — they haven't made a decision yet and don't know anything about us at all. The main function is more of an image function.
• Take on the "educational" function-a site for people that simply and interestingly tells about how classic pillows differ from orthopedic ones, what are the fillers, and so on. You can't touch the product with your hands, so we need to make the selection as easy as possible.
• Human filters-pickers that accompany the user around the site, help them make the choice simple and individual, especially since there are not many products.
• Maximum focus on the product. Beautiful photos, interesting and unusual grid.
• Question about collections: does it make sense to put them on the site and create a catalog in accordance with them? We believe that this will increase brand awareness.
• Interactive home page (active links, colorful hovers, question-and-answer headers, and promo blocks as an entry point).

At the stage of the visual brief, we proposed two concepts that differ a lot in their mood:

Project chips:

• The product picker helps you choose a pillow or blanket, not through the catalog, but to chat with the interface in a friendly way, answer questions and get a super-personalized output, maybe even from 1-2 products. This makes it easier to choose and promotes conversion. 

• SKU in the catalog. The size changes — the price, article, part of the characteristics, photos change. What's cool: that SKUs are taken into account when working with the picker and filters, a suitable offer is inserted in the output (for example, a blanket for two-a large SKU).

The system of widgets for content

The site has a lot of static pages that the customer fills in independently. To facilitate this work, we have implemented widget blocks for content design.

Together with the customer, we thought out which blocks to draw: image, text, fact, quote, tag, video. In the administrative panel, it is easy to assemble a page from ready-made blocks that look good and, most importantly, does not require any additional time and external specialists to create it.
